- Include climate change and the environment in every service program.
- Post environmental internship and service opportunities
- Host a GSA Green Resource Fair™
- Make climate and environment the theme of your science fair
- Share news about environmental programs and progress with the school community, local officials, and the media, including green websites. [link to Link Library?]
- Be active on the GSA Acts of Green website to share ideas and information with others.
- Host and attend meetings with local community members to promote sustainable community development beyond the school.
- Implement a signage program inside and in front of school to increase campus and community awareness
- Environmental clubs can arrange activities beyond school walls, from hikes to trash cleanups to letter-writing campaigns.
- Invite community members to Green Fun events (trashion show, film festival, speakers, clothing swap)
- Participate in national events such as 350.org's Day of Climate Action, Earth Day, Walk to School Day, America Recycles Day (but do not limit environmental learning and activities to those days)
- Participate in the Student Climate & Conservation Congress and Community Corps (Sc3)
- Help students to think of their future in a sustainable world: raise awareness of green jobs (winwin.envirolution.org)
